In the chaos of the month, we might call the holidays a giant bundle of stress. There’s family to coordinate, guests to entertain, kids to shop for and meals to plan. And it all must be done with a deadline, turning the moments to unwind and be with family into moments that we dread.

Mega e-tailers, like Amazon and Walmart, may monopolize online commerce, but it’s the small businesses across the country that keep the economy going. In fact, according to the Small Business Administration (SBA), the 28 million small businesses in America account for 54 percent of all sales in the country. Small businesses create jobs, build a demand for locally made products and keep communities thriving. 

We often take life’s many gifts for granted by failing to appreciate them deeply enough. Thanksgiving offers the perfect opportunity to reflect upon everything that is wonderful in our lives and to show our gratitude for each and every gift we’ve been given.
