The Wasatch Peaks Foundation has awarded at total of $42,500 to 16 local high school seniors, with each student receiving a $2,500 scholarship. The scholarships will support their education at a college, university or technical school of their choice.
As these students work toward earning their degrees or certifications, the scholarships will empower them to pursue their dreams and build a brighter future. Upon completion of their programs, the students will enter the workforce in impactful roles as aerospace engineers, psychologists, fire fighters and other essential professions.
“We’re proud to support such a bright, inspiring group of students who represent our community,” said Jeff Shaw, president and CEO at Wasatch Peaks Credit Union. “We’re confident they will go on and continue to represent our community in an impactful way.”
The recipients were selected based on their academic achievements, volunteerism, extracurricular activities and personal recommendations. The recipients represent the following local high schools:
• Bear River High School
